Forum Bugs/quirks/Mod’s
Date: 2009-09-16T00:00:00 Author: Angie Pratt Byline: Editor Editor note: This is the place to posts your forum issues that come up Number of Views: 5815 This is where you should posts your comments about the forum.. Go ahead and call it ugly. But ... more importantly ... tell me if it doesn't work properly.
our first suggest come from HogSslopper.
First Issue -- Bug Slopper points out – after you have posted a comment … it doesn’t return you to the “thread” so you can see what you just added.
So … the return page needs to be the thread.
Second Issues -- Mod Mod – Perhaps centered permanent links at top of content pane (middle main section) to “Razorback News”, “Forum posts” , “Post a New Comment”, “My Comments”, and “Articles I’ve Commented on”
Third Issue -- ???????

| | | Pinning a forum post to the top does not work | |

| | | | The Return needs to be to here for example -- http://www.thehogboard.com/SPFV/tabid/327/PostId/901/Default.aspx

| | | | When an originating post is edited, it loses its time stamp which brings it to the bottom of the pile for a given date | |
| |
| | | | Unless pinned, posts should be order by either their most recent comment date/time or their original post creation date/time which ever is most recent | |
| |
| | | | the post reply template on forum only allows a reply to the first comment -- not the original post itself | |

| | | | In the Forum, the Update link appears way down the page, not right below the box like here. Not a bib problem just a little bothering. | |

| | | | At present, you have to go to the side bar to read an article then go to the Forum to Post about the I little trouble.
Also, I haven't figured out how to start a new Thread.

| | | | I think the new site is gonna work out just fine. Can you put a link on the other board to this site so folks can easily click over to here? Is it possible to take each days threads from the old site and move them over here to increase the traffic on the new board. I'm with Slop in that I haven't figured out how to make a new thread either. How about links somewhere on the forum page that allows us to click to "new thread"? I think Slop mentioned that in another post. I sure like the look of the old site better than this one, but I guess there is more to come re the layout here. I also think we should be able to post replies to the articles as we see fit. n5 | |

| | | | Angie,
When the various posts are scrolling across the bottom of the screen, for those of us who are color blind, it is very, very difficult to ready the post headline because of the color. The date is easily to read but mercy, the color of healine has my nose about 10 inches from the monitor to try and read it. It is not really a bug but is sure going to frustrate the color blind men in the crowd.

| | | | Angie, while on the Forum page I tried to click on the Picks Football...Nothing... | |
| |
| | | | Uh I found the link below the football...I mistaked the football for the link! My bad.... | |
| |
| | | | New Posts are coming up on the 2nd page. It appears that you have to move it to the 1st page of the forum. Unless you can monitor things 24/7, the new Post should automaticaly appear on the 1st page.... | |

| | | | n5 has some good points...Some agree with mine...Those are GREAT points by n5...:-) | |

| | | | That should be to Post about the article, a little trouble. | |

| | | | The update button needs to be directly below the post body area | |
