Razorbacks ready for the weekend

Defensive coordinator Willy Robinson scoffed at the idea that Saturday’s game against Tennessee Tech is being viewed as a “tune-up”.
“We don’t look ahead to any other games,” Robinson said. “You can call it whatever you want, but this is a game for us.”
The players are revving up as well.
“It’s about time to go out there and beat up on someone else besides each other,” senior defensive end Damario Ambrose said. “We’re ready to show people that we’re for real this year and not just a whole bunch of hype.”
The expectations for the defense are no different than last year, Robinson said. He also feels more comfortable in coaching the players.
“I feel a lot more familiar with the faces that I’m talking to,” Robinson said. “A year and a half ago, it’s like I was speaking Chinese. This year, we’re on the same page.”
Three freshmen – corner Eric Bennett, defensive tackle Byran Jones and defensive end Chris Smith – all have a chance to see significant time in Saturday’s game, Robinson said.
“Those youngsters bring something to the table,” Robinson said. “There’s no reason not to get them on the field.” ###
