Sports  | CST to air Arkansas-LSU series

Fans in Northwest Arkansas can tune in to this weekend's action on channel 119.

FAYETTEVILLE - The No. 13 University of Arkansas baseball team opens Southeastern Conference play this weekend with a three-game series at third-ranked LSU. All three games of the top-15 matchup will be broadcast by Cox Sports Television (CST). Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, La., will serve as the setting for the Hogs' conference-opening series.

Friday's game one is scheduled for a 7 p.m. first pitch, while the games Saturday and Sunday are set for 3 p.m. and 1 p.m. starts, respectively. Fans in Northwest Arkansas can tune in to channel 119 for this weekend's games.

Lyn Rollins and Ben McDonald will handle the commentary duties for games one and three, while Paul Crane and Ron Swoboda will be in the booth for Saturday's matchup.

This weekend will mark the first television appearance for the Razorback baseball team this season. Between regional and national coverage, Arkansas will play on television 15 times during the 2010 regular season. In addition to the regular-season schedule, all games at the 2010 SEC Tournament will be aired on television with the championship game slated for a national broadcast on ESPN2.

Eleven of Arkansas' 15 television appearances this season will be carried by CST. For more information about the Razorbacks' television schedule during the 2010 season, log on to ArkansasRazorbacks.com.

I"m sure it will be a great series. I'll be happy to get out with at least 1 win. Baton Rouge is not a friendly place.
